Strange alien fingers are operating on humans, placing chips into their brains, and replacing organs with synthetic replacements. In a fenced-in courtyard, ten to twelve strange looking beings with miss-shaped heads are milling about. On the orders pressed into the face of what looks like a Palm Pilot by alien fingers, the strange creatures snap to a state of alert. A Second Signal sends these beings into a frenzy. Escaping the compound and wildly swinging sharp machetes in the air, they take to the streets, indiscriminately slashing and killing all that are in sight. They are receiving orders through cyber-space, orders sent like e-mail into the receiver-chips implanted in their brains. These are the Astro Zombies.
Police are helpless to defend or protect the citizens on the street, for when they fire bullets into the Astro Zombies, they bleed a green ooze, but continue killing, as they are unstoppable.

Cindy is on her way out of her newspaper office with a TV crew to cover the attacks as Jeff's call comes in.
In the alien's operating room, four aliens are implanting body parts and brain chips into more human subjects. Actual human organs are discarded, as the process continues. Solar energy cells implanted in the foreheads of the Astro Zombies drive their synthetic heart-pumps, and other implanted organs. Green ooze is pumped into their veins and arteries.
People in alleys, sidewalks and city streets, apartments and garages become the victims of the terrorizing Astro Zombies. Pandemonium reigns.
Cindy and her TV crew are attempting to interview witnesses to the grisly scenes, all are hysterical.

General Kingston, Garth Woodard, Tomas Peripoulos, Jessica Newhall are under orders to form a team of specialists.
Jeff catches up with Cindy and the two discuss what might be happening. Cindy is sure that her boyfriend Jeff, with access to FBI and CIA information, knows more than he is willing to discuss with her.
General Kingston is unaware that while he is calling together his group of brilliant doctors and scientists, alien beings are noting the communications, becoming aware of where and to whom Kingston is taking to. The aliens prepare the laser-projected Mark of the Astro Zombies, documenting the whereabouts of those who have been contacted.
Dr. Randolph West, a specialist in interplanetary communications tells Kingston he has a plan. Remote viewing might be brought into the search for answers.
In another setting, an evil, ambitious and satanic woman, Malvira, is perusing newspaper headlines. She tells her accomplice, Zokar, that these events are somewhat similar to what took place another time. In the President's office, Ward Pennwood is discussing with his staff the possibility of calling in the military. General Kingston feels it is too soon; Garth and Tomas lay out a plan to map out the basic area where the attacks are occurring. Ward and Kingston fear the possibility of public panic.
Dr. Randolph West enters a classroom where Dr. Owens is concluding a remote-viewing seminar. Her closing comments are that the military is investigating the use of this ability by some to zero in on an enemy's activities. Dr. West and Dr. Owens take part in a remote viewing session, and Dr. Owens visualizes aliens at an operating table, as it is actually taking place.
In a pathology room where Dr. Neidermeyer, Dr. Grashoff and Dr. Sweikert discuss the existence of alien life forms, they come to the conclusion that aliens from planets and asteroids ten to sixteen billion years older than our planet earth, have knowledge and intelligence beyond our abilities to conceptualize. This could be the reason that bodies of victims of the attacks have had certain organs and entrails removed, and in particular, brains. Someone or something is tampering with our physiognomies.
In an office of NASA, Jonathan Rossmore is discussing with Jeff and Cindy the pre-requisites of interplanetary space flight by earth's humans. Even if cryogenics were utilized, there would be no assurances of perfect functionality of these awakened space-travelers. It almost would require some form of humanoid as yet unknown to undertake this type of space-travel. As of yet, this technology is not available.
In the Control Alien's operating room, a green 'ooze' is transfused into Astro Zombie bodies. The aliens will send the A-Z's to intercept and capture General Kingston's team members by tagging them with a laser mark, "The Mark of the Astro Zombies". The A-Z's zero in on these people through orders from Zekith and bring them into the operating rooms of the control aliens.
Malvira and Zokar have devised a plan to extort millions of dollars from foreign agents who have gathered to witness their staged control of an Astro Zombie. Malvira orders Zokar to slash a tied up victim to death, then shoot another on her orders. She then turns the gun on the fake A-Z Zokar and green ooze squirts out of the bullet-holes. Zokar is ordered to shoot the agents but stops short when Malvira starts the bidding for the knowledge to control the A-Z's.
In the fenced-in courtyard, control aliens inspect Astro Zombies that have various chips implanted. One is growing an animal arm after a machete removed his arm; another has grown a second head. The aliens seem to be able to grow anything they wish with their chip implants.
More team members are contacted by General Kingston and are promptly marked by the aliens with the laser mark, and are dragged off by Astro Zombies.
